We designed a card featuring one of the most popular animals here at the zoo – the Siberian tiger. Given the devastation of habitat and the onslaught of poaching over the last 60 years, the Siberian tiger serves as an example of an animal in crisis and reminds us all of the need to make every effort to preserve the beauty of nature.
Whether it is the Siberian tiger, the Asian or African elephant, the blue whale, the western lowland gorilla, the Vancouver Island marmot, the snow leopard, or any one of the more than one thousand animal species classified as endangered, the work to recover these beautiful animals must continue.
